About me

Aslihan joined the Property Law and Environmental and Planning Law team of AK in June 2021. She specialises in administrative law, as well as environmental and planning law. Aslihan advises and litigates on general administrative law, planning and zoning law, public policy and enforcement, and government liability.

Aslihan represents private persons as well as companies and government agencies. Born and bred in Rotterdam, she grew up with the saying ‘actions speak louder than words’. As a lawyer, she implements this saying in her own way.

“As a lawyer, I use words and actions. Where there is room for negotiations, I use words to try and bring the case to a favourable conclusion. But if there is no room left for negotiations, I gladly stand up for my clients in proceedings.”

Before she joined AK, Aslihan worked for more than two years as a lawyer in Rotterdam, specializing in administrative law. During law school, she conducted academic research and worked as external court clerk for the criminal and administrative law divisions of the Rotterdam District Court for four years.
